. Dear Friends and Afghan Enthusiasts,

Mozart was my Dog of a Lifetime.

He was my constant companion, my top winning
show dog, my silly play buddy, my bed hog and
food thief....and Mozart was my reason for getting
up every day during a very rough period in my life.

Over one year ago I sadly wrote what I thought was
the final chapter in the life that I shared with my
beloved Mozart.

Our story was one of love, determination and a
strong will to beat the odds.

On the following page is version of a letter I sadly
wrote announcing his passing to some of my friends.
I had wanted to publish a memorial for Mozart but at
the time I could not bring myself to do so. I was too
grief struck over my loss and the tragic manner in
which he left me.

Now one year has passed but my sorrow has not.
That gut wrenching pain is still there and the tears are
always just a second away from falling so I simply try
not to think about it.

I am finally able to share this memorial with you
because a new chapter is now being written and
Mozart's Legacy will continue. The new  chapter
involves Mozart's frozen semen and CH Llacue's
Madame Butterfly aka Layla, his beautiful niece...
and a nice line breeding which resulted in 7
little miraculous afghan heartbeats.

The most inexplicable thing is that these precious
babies were born October 2nd, 2008 which is the
EXACT day Mozart died last year in 2007.

Mozart suffered no genetic or inherent health issues
in his life but unfortunately he did suffer at the hands
of others. I hope that you take a moment to read about
my boy and the incredible and improbable things he
overcame in his life only to have it end tragically,
untimely and unexpectedly.

Merriam Websters definition of Heroic:

1: of, relating to, resembling, or suggesting heroes
especially of antiquity2 a: exhibiting or marked by
courage and daring b: supremely noble or self-sacrificing
3 a: of impressive size, power, extent, or effect
<a heroic voice> b (1): of great intensity

Mozart was a Hero in ever sense of the word.

Please hug and kiss your babies after reading
the following page. Tell them how much they
mean to you for you never
know when they will be taken from you.

Thank You.

I love you Mozart and I hope you
are running and playing with Faisal
and Fatima and the others who have
crossed our paths along the way. I will
hug you again someday baby boy and
feel your neck hugging me back. You have
now given the world wonderful little
puppies and one of them has your face and
eyes and I see you every time I look at him.
Watch over them and please stay close
and watch over me until we meet again.

Your mommy
